About

G8 & G20 Youth Summits Japan (originally established as G8 Youth Summit Japan) is a non-profit, youth-led organisation established on March 28, 2008 with a purpose to send the Japanese Delegation to G8 Youth Summit 2008. On July 1, 2011, the organisation name was changed to G8 & G20 Youth Summits Japan to reflect our participation to Y20. The board memebers consist of the alumni of the organisation.

What we do

Publicity related to increasing the awareness of the activities of G8 & G20 Youth Summits Japan.
Activities related to the selection, training and financing of Japanese Delegations to Y7 and Y20.
Coordination with the Host of the Y7 and Y20 Summits and Strengthening of IDEA Network.

Core Mission

G8 & G20 Youth Summits Japan offers an education program for further self-development and a diplomatic venue to present ideal thoughts, for youth worthy of taking part in top-level youth diplomacy and leading Japan.

Guiding Principles

G8 & G20 Youth Summits Japan searches for solutions to global issues.
G8 & G20 Youth Summits Japan develops and produces human recourses who can lead the world.
G8 & G20 Youth Summits Japan contributes to the further development of the G8 Youth Summit in Japan

IDEA Network

G8 & G20 Youth Summits Japan is the Japanese Representative to the International Diplomatic Engagement Association (IDEA), which consists of 20 youth organisations in countries belonging to G20. For more, please click here.

概要

G8 & G20 Youth Summits Japanは、G8 Youth Summitへの日本代表団派遣事業を目的に2008年3月28日に設立された、G8 Youth Summit Japanを前身とする非営利・学生有志団体です。参加国の増加に伴い、2011年7月1日より団体名をG8 & G20 Youth Summits Japanと変更致しました。委員会構成員は、原則として前年度日本代表団となっております。

日本国内における、G8 & G20 Youth Summitsの認知度向上を目的とした広報活動
日本代表団の選考・教育・日本代表団参加費および渡航費のための渉外活動
大会主催団体との連携と、参加者間でのネットワークの醸成
