Message from the Canadian Delegation

As members of the Canadian delegation, we are truly excited to share our insights, expertise and perspectives with the other delegations participating in the Y7 summit in Japan.

Our delegation has identified some of its priorities in order to achieve realistic and achievable goals by the end of the summit. More specifically, members of our delegation are interested in:

• Social enterprise and co-operative development, gender entrepreneurship

• Youth empowerment

• Gender equality

• Mental health

• Indigenous Nations and sustainable development

• LGBTQ2S experiences in school curricula and other educational inequality

• The successful Canadian resettlement of Syrian refugees and its teachings

• Geopolitics of the Middle East

As leaders of tomorrow, we believe that we will be able to make a difference working in collaboration with other engaged youth. We look forward to sharing our Canadian views and our progressive values while working with the other delegations.
